“You and I were different. We came from different worlds, and yet you were the one who taught me the value of love. You showed me what it was like to care for another, and I am a better man because of it.”

I couldn't be more pleased with Hannah & Josue's snow session. If you haven't figured it out yet, I shoot with Hannah a lot. We've been friends for a couple years now -- ever since the first time we took pictures together. Since then, we've done about 6 styled sessions together and have developed a wonderful friendship in the process. This session was different, though.
Hannah's boyfriend, Josue, doesn't really like having his picture made. He'll tell you that himself. We finally convinced him it would be different than he expected, and the two of them came out to my house for some fun in the snow. After a few lighting tests, Josue laughed and said, "I don't know what to do.." I told him to simply "love on Hannah," and I would take care of the rest.
After he saw the pictures, I asked him what he thought of the entire experience. He said, "It was a lot easier than I thought -- I didn't have to do anything. I just got to snuggle her and somehow it came out nice in the photos." That's my favorite part about photographing couples. When you stick two people who love each other in a dreamy place and tell them not to pose, but to just love on each other, magic happens.
It was freezing, and all of our socks were soaked with snow, but we had a blast. Then promptly ran inside for some hot chocolate and coffee by the fire.
